Job summary

System C is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead accurate and compliant payroll delivery across our multi-entity organisation, including international arrangements via external providers. The role includes pension administration, tax compliance, payroll systems and continuous improvement while supporting growth and acquisitions.

You will own payroll operations across the organisation, coordinating with Finance, HR, Tax and external providers, acting as senior escalation point and SME

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading UK payroll operations with compliance and control.
• Experience coordinating overseas payrolls and inputs to external providers.
• Strong knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance and statutory payments.
• Experience in multi-entity organisations and outsourced payroll providers.
• Experience with pension administration and auto-enrolment requirements.
• Experience using enterprise payroll systems, e.g. ADP.

Responsibilities

• Lead accurate, timely end-to-end payroll across multiple entities, including overseas payrolls via external providers.
• Manage payroll controls, reconciliations, approvals and reporting.
• Ensure HMRC compliance, PAYE, NI and statutory requirements.
• Oversee year-end activities (P60s, P11Ds, share scheme reporting).
• Support pension administration and auto-enrolment compliance.
• Drive payroll system optimisation, process improvements and automation.
• Lead payroll workstreams for acquisitions, integrations and TUPE.
