Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Associate Technical Director to lead our pavement consultancy team. You will direct technical delivery on highway, airport and port pavement projects, manage client relationships and mentor junior staff.

The role requires proven leadership, deep knowledge of pavement design and materials, and the ability to deliver projects to time and budget while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven technical leadership within the field of pavement engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of pavement design principles across Flexible, Rigid and Composite pavements.
• Experience with earthworks and pavement materials including Concrete and Asphalt.
• Familiarity with UK and/or international standards for pavement design.
• Experience in specification, execution, analysis and interpretation of geotechnical and pavement investigations.
• Experience in managing and delivering projects meeting client expectations.
• Client-facing communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead consultancy projects and work packages in pavement engineering.
• Ensure deliverables are on time, within budget and high quality.
• Develop client and industry relationships with public and private stakeholders.
• Promote pavement and asset management within AtkinsRéalis.
• Mentor and develop team members' technical careers.
• Champion company processes, safety, welfare, quality and environmental standards.
