Job summary

Swindon Borough Council is seeking a Senior Supervisor in Parking to lead day-to-day parking and enforcement operations across the borough. You will manage frontline teams, ensure compliance with legislation and local policies, and deliver a high-quality service for residents and visitors.

The role requires substantial supervision experience, contract management, and flexibility to work some weekends, evenings, and public holidays. Salary is £42,123 per annum plus benefits, with a 37-hour week.

Qualifications

• Substantial knowledge and experience of supervising Parking Teams.
• Experience of managing contracts and of procuring external suppliers and contractors.
• Ability to make site visits throughout the Borough and attend meetings across and outside the Borough.
• Ensure staff adhere to legislation, local policies, and professional standards.
• Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and training.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of parking enforcement, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
• Ability to meet the special conditions of recruitment including the flexibility to work some weekends, evenings and occasional public holidays.
• Fluency in English required.
