Job summary

Cardiff Council is seeking a Grade 6 Senior Civil Enforcement Officer to support the Civil Parking Enforcement team in delivering safe and effective enforcement across the city. The role involves leading officers, supervising performance, and ensuring adherence to enforcement rosters and policies.

You will patrol both on- and off-street areas, issue Penalty Charge Notices, and approve clamp/removal actions while maintaining high standards of safety and service.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Proven ability to deliver under pressure and meet targets.
• Experience in public-facing customer service roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deployment, safety and operation of Civil Parking Enforcement Officers per strategy and rota.
• Manage performance, including sickness and disciplinary processes.
• Patrol areas with on- and off-street parking in line with enforcement plan.
• Identify illegal parking and issue Penalty Charge Notices accordingly.
• Approve clamping and removal of unlawfully parked vehicles.
• Deputise for the Section Leader during absences.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and risk assessments.
