Job summary

Oxfordshire County Council is seeking a senior leader for civil parking enforcement to guide and develop the team, ensuring compliant and efficient enforcement across the county. You will support and coach staff, manage escalations, and coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to deliver effective services.

You will report to the Parking Enforcement Manager and help shape service delivery, processes and policy alignment with national requirements and local rules.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in civil parking enforcement within a local authority or similar setting.
• Detailed knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations, including enforcement processes.
• Experience using performance information and financial data to monitor services and support improvement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to coach, develop and supervise colleagues and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist advice and escalation support for complex enquiries and issues.
• Supervise the Civil Enforcement Specialist and four Civil Enforcement Assistants; oversee contractors' work.
• Ensure on-street enforcement, notice processing, permits and Park & Ride services operate effectively and lawfully.
