Job summary

IDEX Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a successful IFA practice in the Home Counties. The role is predominantly home-based with occasional meetings with Financial Advisors in the South East.

You will deliver high-quality, compliant financial planning recommendations and suitability reports across pensions, investments, inheritance tax planning and protection, and support advisers with client meetings and case progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years paraplanning experience within a UK financial advice firm.
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and tax planning.
• Proven experience writing complex suitability reports.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of FCA regulation and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently.
• Knowledge of CURO, Voyant and FE Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Producing accurate and compliant suitability reports in line with FCA requirements
• Undertaking complex financial planning research and analysis across pensions (DB & DC), retirement planning, investments, estate planning, protection, and taxation
• Reviewing adviser recommendations for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Supporting advisers with client meeting preparation and ensuring cases progress efficiently
• Liaising with providers and maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Acting as a technical point of reference for advisers and paraplanners
• Contributing to process improvements, training, and paraplanning best practice
