Job summary

IDEX Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Paraplanner for a London based role within a premier wealth management firm. You will support Wealth Managers, prepare detailed reports, and contribute to compliant, tailored financial planning for high-net-worth clients.

You will deliver technical inputs, cash flow illustrations and research across UK and international client requirements, while maintaining strong client relations and rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven paraplanning experience within wealth management, financial planning or private banking.
• Strong technical knowledge of financial planning products, investment structures and UK legislation.
• Experience producing high-quality suitability reports and supporting complex financial planning recommendations.
• Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills to engage with Wealth Managers, senior stakeholders and high-net-worth clients.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed suitability reports, annual review documentation and financial planning recommendations.
• Providing technical support across a broad range of wealth planning products, tax wrappers and investment solutions.
• Undertaking technical research and analysis to support complex UK and international client requirements.
• Producing cash flow forecasts and financial planning illustrations.
• Reviewing client risk profiles and ensuring recommendations are appropriate and fully documented.
• Working closely with Wealth Managers to develop tailored solutions that deliver positive client outcomes.
• Attending client meetings where required, providing technical input and coordinating follow-up actions.
• Building and maintaining professional relationships with high-net-worth clients.
• Supporting clients throughout onboarding, ensuring a seamless and professional experience.
• Liaising with internal teams, custodians and external providers to facilitate asset transfers and account arrangements.
• Providing timely updates to clients and Wealth Managers, ensuring high standards of service.
• Supporting management of complex client accounts and ongoing wealth planning requirements.
• Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring regulatory and internal compliance standards.
• Contributing to wider business initiatives and projects; keeping up to date with regulatory developments.
