Job summary

IDEX Consulting in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Paraplanner to join our established technical team. You will support Financial Advisers with detailed research, analysis and high‑quality report writing to ensure compliant financial planning recommendations for a diverse client base.

Key duties include researching existing and proposed arrangements, analysing portfolios, preparing illustrations and documentation, and producing suitable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a paraplanning role.
• Progress towards the level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning with several exams completed.
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and protection products.
• Excellent report-writing skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues when required.

Responsibilities

• Conducting research on existing and proposed financial planning arrangements.
• Analysing investment portfolios, including asset allocation and risk profiling.
• Preparing pension, investment and protection illustrations, projections and supporting documentation.
• Producing clear, accurate and technically robust suitability reports.
• Assisting with annual client reviews and ongoing financial planning requirements.
• Ensuring all client files and recommendations meet FCA regulations and internal compliance standards.
• Working collaboratively with Advisers and colleagues to deliver excellent client outcomes.
