Job summary

City St George's, University of London is seeking a Senior Technician to support Paramedicine teaching and simulation facilities across the School of Health and Medical Sciences. The role involves hands-on setup, maintenance and operation of clinical skills environments, including ambulance simulations and projection-enabled spaces.

Working closely with academic staff and students, you will provide expert technical support, supervise technicians, and help deliver high-quality learning

Qualifications

• Experience supporting simulation facilities or immersive learning environments.
• Excellent technical and organisational skills.
• Effective communicator with students and staff.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and lead a small team.
• Hands-on, on-site role with daily presence in facilities.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of clinical skills and simulation environments.
• Prepare, maintain and operate equipment and teaching areas safely.
• Provide technical support to students and staff during immersive simulations.
• Supervise technicians and manage stock and maintenance records.
• Contribute to service improvements while ensuring safety and compliance.
• When required, support Physiotherapy and Occupational Health programmes.
