Job summary

Langstane Housing Association Ltd is seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) team. You will deliver internal and external painting and decorating works across residential properties, ensuring high-quality finishes, proper surface preparation, and adherence to safety standards.

You will plan workloads, conduct pre-inspections, maintain tools and stock, and work to agreed timescales.

Qualifications

• Experience in pre-paint preparation and high-quality surface finishing.
• Experience with reactive maintenance and refurbishment works.
• Ability to work to deadlines and maintain safety and quality standards.
• Competent use of IT including email and device-based work orders.
• Valid driving licence and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works in properties.
• Assist on pre-planned works such as kitchen/bathroom refits when required.
• Deliver high quality, first-time-right workmanship and customer focus.
• Perform pre-inspections/measurements to determine scope and requirements.
• Plan workloads, manage time and resources, and coordinate with schedulers.
