Job summary

Scottish Borders Housing Association in the Scottish Borders is seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator to join our Trades team. You will carry out high-quality painting and decorating across our housing stock, completing repairs, maintenance, cyclical works, and planned upgrades.

The role requires time-served status, City and Guilds Level 2 or equivalent, and strong health and safety awareness. You will work independently or with the team, delivering excellent service to tenants while

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 2 in qualification or equivalent trade qualification, or equivalent through training and experience
• Must be a time-served Painter and Decorator
• Able to demonstrate all round skills applicable to the trade
• Able to carry out work with the minimum of supervision
• Able to carry out duties to a high-quality standard with the minimum disruption to Tenants and neighbours
• Able to adapt to different situations and problem solve
• Excellent communication interpersonal skills
• Customer-focused approached to delivering services
• Awareness of health and safety practices in domestic environments
• Reliable, punctual and responsible
• Understand and respects equality and diversity
• Holder of a current UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality painting and decorating work across our housing stock
