Job summary

Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking a skilled Painter to join their maintenance team, covering Council housing and properties across the Vale of Glamorgan. The role requires full qualification and experience in both internal and external painting, delivering high-quality finishes and excellent tenant service.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Painter and Decorator (or equivalent recognised qualification).
• Proven experience in both internal and external painting and decorating.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works to Council properties.
• Prepare surfaces and apply paints, varnishes and other finishes to a high standard.
• Work efficiently to meet agreed timescales while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Provide a courteous and professional service, treating tenants with respect and consideration at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and other trades to deliver an effective maintenance service.
