Job summary

St George's, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group is inviting applications for a Consultant Paediatrician with an interest in Epilepsy to join the team at St Helier Hospital. The role involves collaboration with the acute General Paediatric team and contributing to Epilepsy services in Merton and Sutton.

The post will include 1 in 5 weekly consultant duties on the general paediatric ward with on-call responsibilities 1 in 8, plus involvement in teaching, governance, and

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• On or within 6 months of the GMC Specialist Register for General Paediatrics.
• Holder of a CCT/CESR in General Paediatrics.
• Membership of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child (MRCPCH)
• Level 3 child protection
• APLS / NLS

Responsibilities

• Provide routine day-to-day acute paediatric services.
• Contribute to Epilepsy outpatient activity and complex epilepsy care.
• Attend Consultant on a 1 in 5 week basis and participate in on-call rota (1 in 8).
• Engage in strategic service planning with local partners and governance activities.
• Participate in teaching and supervision of junior doctors.
