Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals is seeking a Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in Epilepsy to join the team at St Helier Hospital. The post covers the boroughs of Merton and Sutton and involves collaboration with the acute paediatric service.

The role includes Epilepsy outpatient activity, on-call duties (1 in 8) and weekly teaching as part of a large acute paediatric group. Based at St Helier Hospital, this replacement post focuses on delivering high quality care.

Qualifications

• Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in Epilepsy.
• Based at St Helier Hospital, working with the paediatric team across Merton and Sutton.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine day-to-day acute paediatric services in collaboration with the acute General Paediatric team.
• Contribute to Epilepsy services, including Complex Epilepsy and General Paediatrics outpatient activity.
• Attend Consultant on-call schedule (1 in 8) and ward rounds (1 in 5 weeks).
• Participate in strategic planning of services with local partners.
• Engage in weekly junior doctor teaching and participate in Quality meetings and Morbidity & Mortality reviews.
