Job summary

We are recruiting a Consultant Paediatrician with an interest in Epilepsy to Queen Mary’s Hospital for Children, St Helier Hospital, to support services in Merton and Sutton. The post, based at St Helier hospital, replaces an existing vacancy and works closely with the acute General Paediatric team during daytime hours.

The role includes epilepsy care contributions, including Complex Epilepsy and General Paediatrics outpatient activity, with a 1 in 5 Consultant on-call rota and a 1 in 8 on-call

Qualifications

• GMC registration and licence to practice.
• Experience in paediatric epilepsy.
• Leadership and teaching responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine day-to-day acute paediatric services in collaboration with the General Paediatric team.
• Contribute to Epilepsy care, including Complex Epilepsy and General Paediatrics outpatient activity.
• Attend Consultant on a 1 in 5 week basis and participate in on-call rota (1 in 8).
• Engage in clinical governance, research, and education within the Trust.
