Oxford Natural Healthcare Professionals in the UK seeks experienced Band 7 Speech and Language Therapists to support children and young people with complex communication needs, neurodisabilities, SEND and SEMH.

You will deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention, collaborate with families, educators and multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to education and daily life participation.

Qualifications

• Recognised professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• RCSLT membership or eligibility for membership.
• Significant paediatric experience with complex communication needs, neurodisabilities or developmental differences.
• Experience in specialist assessment, intervention planning and reviewing outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of child development and adapting therapy to individual needs.
• Experience or competence in AAC and early communication intervention.
• Excellent communication, organisational and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work with families, education professionals and MDTs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child-centred care.

Responsabilités

• Assess and identify speech, language and communication needs, including receptive, expressive and social communication difficulties.
• Develop, deliver and review individualised therapy programmes and measurable targets.
• Provide individual and group interventions for children with complex communication needs and neurodisabilities.
• Lead or contribute to AAC assessments, implementation and ongoing review.
• Support children with feeding, drinking and swallowing difficulties where trained.
• Coach and advise parents, carers and education staff on communication strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other multidisciplinary professionals.
• Contribute to EHCP targets and reviews and initial assessments.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and prepare reports for families and schools.
• Support trauma-informed, relationship-focused approaches for SEMH.
• Supervise and mentor junior therapists and students.
• Contribute to staff training and service development.
