Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a substantive Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine for Oxford Children’s Hospital. The post supports a growing paediatric long-term ventilation service within a multidisciplinary team across OUH sites.

The role is based primarily at Oxford Children’s Hospital with on-call duties and opportunities to work at Horton Hospital as needed. Permanent, full-time appointment within a teaching hospital that values compassionate

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration with license to practice.
• MBChB or equivalent.
• MRCPCH or equivalent.
• On the GMC’s Specialist Register OR CCT date within 6 months of AAC scheduled interview date.
• Higher Medical Degree e.g. PhD or MD or evidence of working towards a higher academic degree.

Responsibilities

• The postholder’s duties will be primarily at Oxford Children’s Hospital.
• Participate in the on-call rota.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team providing a comprehensive paediatric respiratory service.

Education

MBChB or equivalent

MRCPCH or equivalent

GMC registration/licence to practise

CCT in paediatrics and paediatric respiratory medicine
