Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals is seeking an experienced Band 6 Paediatric Physiotherapist to join Perseid Lower and Perseid Upper Schools. The role involves providing a specialist physiotherapy service for children with severe and complex needs in school settings.

The post holder will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with families, school staff and other health and education professionals to support participation, learning and development.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy and registration with HCPC and CSP.
• Postgraduate training or short courses to support specialist paediatric practice.
• Experience and knowledge of working with children and young people with complex needs.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary settings and education-healthcare collaboration.
• Strong communication, governance and recording skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist paediatric physiotherapy assessment and treatment for a defined caseload of children and young people in Perseid schools.
• Plan and deliver autonomous, high-quality care within service specifications.
• Work in partnership with families, school staff and other professionals to optimise participation and development.
• Produce reports, EHCP contributions and routine clinical documentation.
• Support service development and guidelines in collaboration with the Team Leader.
