Job summary

Epsom and St Helier Hospitals NHS Trust seeks a highly specialist paediatric physiotherapist to lead a team within Perseid schools. This full-time, term-time role involves direct clinical leadership, complex caseload management and collaboration with education and healthcare partners.

You will deliver evidence-based assessments, treatment planning, and outcome measures, while supervising staff and developing services to meet the needs of children and young people with SEND.

Qualifications

• Significant post-registration Specialist paediatric physiotherapy experience.
• Experience undertaking CPIP assessments in education, community and clinical settings.
• Experience leading or developing services and working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of governance, safeguarding and record-keeping standards.
• Experience delivering training to families, carers, education staff and healthcare professionals.
• Experience supervising and appraising staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and ongoing development of physiotherapy services within Perseid schools.
• Support the Service Manager in service planning, performance monitoring and improvement initiatives.
• Build relationships with multidisciplinary teams, schools, families and external agencies.
• Manage a highly complex caseload and provide specialist clinical advice on assessment and intervention.
• Oversee CPIP assessments and support clinical decision-making across the team.
• Supervise, mentor and develop Band 6 physiotherapists, assistants and students.
• Lead audits, governance activities and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain professional standards and accurate clinical documentation.
