Job summary

Perseid Schools are seeking a specialist children’s Physiotherapist to join the team via Bank for Epsom & St Helier Trust. This is a full time, term-time role, with a 30 minute break.

The post involves managing an independent caseload of children with complex needs across school, home and community settings, delivering CPIP assessments and evidence-based interventions within multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience of paediatric physiotherapy and CPIP assessments.
• Ability to manage an independent caseload.
• Experience with SEND, complex needs and physical disabilities.
• Experience completing CPIP assessments and delivering interventions.
• Skilled in assessment, treatment planning, goal setting and outcome measurement.
• Experience in multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams.
• Knowledge of postural management, orthotics, hydrotherapy and equipment.
• Excellent communication, organisation and clinical reasoning.
• Knowledge of clinical governance and safeguarding, accurate records.
• Experience supporting families, carers, education staff and other professionals.
• Basic IT skills and ability to maintain electronic records.

Responsibilities

• Support the Band 7 Physiotherapist in delivering physiotherapy services to children and young people within special school settings.
• Manage an allocated caseload of children and young people with complex physiotherapy needs.
• Undertake assessments, including CPIP assessments, and implement evidence-based treatment programmes.
• Provide physiotherapy interventions across school, home and community settings.
• Work collaboratively with families, schools and multidisciplinary teams to support agreed outcomes.
• Provide reports, clinical records, EHCP advice and Annual Review contributions.
• Deliver training and guidance to parents, carers and education staff.
• Assess and advise on postural management, specialist equipment, seating and hydrotherapy needs.
• Monitor and evaluate intervention outcomes and elevate complex issues as appropriate.
• Contribute to audit, service development and quality improvement activities.
• Support students, assistants and less experienced staff as required
