Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals seeks a Band 6 Bank Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist to join Perseid Schools via ESTH Trust. This full-time, term-time role runs 37.5 hours per week with a salary around £24.61 per hour. The Bank position closes 30/11/2026 23:59.

Key duties include managing a caseload of children with complex needs, CPIP assessments, and delivering evidence-based interventions in school, home and community settings.

Qualifications

• Experience of paediatric physiotherapy and CPIP assessments.
• Ability to manage an independent caseload.
• Experience with SEND, complex needs and physical disabilities.
• Experience completing CPIP assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions.
• Skilled in assessment, treatment planning, goal setting and outcome measurement.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams.
• Knowledge of postural management, orthotics, hydrotherapy and specialist equipment.
• Excellent communication, organisation and clinical reasoning skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Band 7 Physiotherapist in delivering physiotherapy services to children and young people within special school settings.
• Manage an allocated caseload of children and young people with complex physiotherapy needs.
• Undertake assessments including CPIP assessments and implement evidence-based treatment programmes.
• Provide physiotherapy interventions across school, home and community settings.
• Work with families, schools and multidisciplinary teams to support outcomes.
• Provide reports, clinical records and EHCP advice.
• Deliver training to parents, carers and education staff.
• Assess and advise on postural management, seating and hydrotherapy needs.
• Monitor outcomes and elevate complex issues as appropriate.
• Contribute to audit, service development and quality improvement.
• Support students, assistants and less experienced staff as required
