Job summary

Community Care Live seeks a qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration to lead complex casework in a countywide Children and Families Occupational Therapy Service. You will mentor other OTs and OTAs, attend to high-risk cases and drive service improvements within social care guidelines.

You will supervise and support staff, prioritise caseloads, and work closely with councils, housing associations and health professionals to enhance outcomes for disabled children across Hampshire.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy qualification and HCPC registration.
• Experience in paediatric and/or adults’ social care, community or hospital settings.
• Understanding of local government social care duties and children’s legislation.
• Ability to supervise and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Skilled in leading assessments and managing a demanding caseload.
• Capable of independent and collaborative work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex casework for children with physical and learning disabilities; plan home adaptations.
• Provide supervision and expert guidance on complex cases to OT staff and students.
• Review waiting lists, screen referrals, allocate cases and brief team members.
• Foster partnerships with health professionals, councils and housing associations.
• Encourage ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
