Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist for the Countywide Children and Families Occupational Therapy Service. The post focuses on high‑risk paediatric cases, including home adaptations and equipment provision, with mentoring across the team.

Qualifications

• Qualified occupational therapist with HCPC registration is required.
• Experience in paediatric occupational therapy and working within a county council setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and manage high‑risk and complex cases for children with physical and learning disabilities.
• Provide supervision, mentoring and expert advice to occupational therapists, students and assistants.
• Deliver specialist equipment and home adaptation services and review waiting lists.
• Collaborate with health professionals, housing associations and council staff; promote staff development.
