Job summary

Hampshire County Council's Children and Families Occupational Therapy Service is seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist (HCPC registered) to lead high-risk cases and deliver person-centred assessments for children with disabilities. You will model best practice and support professional growth across the team.

Based in Hampshire with hybrid working across Havant, Alton or Basingstoke, you will supervise colleagues, co-ordinate complex caseloads, and help develop services, equipment

Qualifications

• HCPC registration or eligible for registration.
• Experience of working with paediatric and/or adults’ social care, community or hospital-based services.
• Ability to supervise and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Skilled in leading assessments, managing a demanding caseload, and prioritising tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex casework: assess, plan and manage high-risk cases to support children with disabilities and plan home adaptations.
• Provide supervision and support to Occupational Therapists, students and assistants and advise on complex cases.
• Enhance service delivery: review waiting lists, authorise referrals, allocate cases and brief team members.
• Encourage partnership working with health professionals, council staff and housing associations.
• Promote training opportunities and ongoing professional development.
