Job summary

Hampshire County Council in Winchester is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist (HCPC registered) to lead complex paediatric and social care cases. You will deliver person-centred assessments, empower children and drive high standards of practice across the team.

The role supports East Hampshire with offices in Havant, Alton, and Basingstoke. Hybrid pattern: 3 days remote, 2 days in the office. Competitive benefits and a market supplement for senior OT roles.

Qualifications

• OT qualification and HCPC registration are mandatory.
• Experience in paediatric and/or adults’ social care settings is required.
• Knowledge of local government social care duties and relevant legislation is essential.
• Ability to supervise and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading assessments, managing a demanding caseload and prioritising tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex casework and assess, plan and manage high-risk cases.
• Provide supervision and expert advice on complex cases.
• Review and prioritise waiting lists; authorise referrals and allocate cases.
• Collaborate with Health professionals, Housing Associations and local councils.
• Promote training and professional development within the team.
