Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) seeks a Consultant in Paediatric Anaesthesia to deliver anaesthesia services across RMCH and affiliated hospitals. The role involves a 1 in 16 on‑call rota and a 10 PA job, with 8.5 direct clinical care PAs and 1.5 for revalidation, appraisal, and teaching.

The appointee will work at RMCH and related sites, with weekend elective work possible in the future. Candidates should have strong paediatric anaesthesia experience and FRCA or equivalent

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration to practise in the UK.
• Significant experience in paediatric anaesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Provide anaesthesia for paediatric surgical cases across RMCH and affiliated sites.
• Share on-call rota and clinical duties with other consultants.
• Support revalidation, appraisal, and training activities.
