Job summary

The Royal Oldham Hospital is expanding its paediatric and obstetric anaesthesia capability within the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. We seek experienced consultant anaesthetists to join a growing team, covering theatre work during the week and on-call responsibilities, with wider duties across ROH and Rochdale sites.

Applicants should be on the Specialist Register or nearing certification, with obstetric anaesthesia experience and current UK registration.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be on the Specialist Register for anaesthesia or have a reasonable expectation of achieving this within six months.
• Evidence of Accredited Clinical & Educational Supervision of Medical Learners is desirable.
• UK GMC registration and current UK practice status required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anaesthetic services to Royal Oldham Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary theatres.
• Deliver obstetric anaesthesia and participate in on-call duties and weekend trauma cover.
• Engage in pre-operative assessment clinic activities and service development.
