Job summary

Moderna Therapeutics in Oxford is seeking a Senior Manager of Packaging Engineering to lead a brand-new labeling and secondary packaging operation at the Harwell site. You will establish the facility from the ground up and transition to a high-performing maintenance and engineering function.

You will guide URS and design specs, manage capital projects, and ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, and GxP. Strong leadership, technical writing, and collaboration across global teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of packaging engineering experience.
• Experience in labeling and secondary packaging for pharmaceutical/biotech.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of labeling and secondary packaging equipment for the Harwell site.
• Provide engineering input into URS, design specifications, process parameters and FMEA.
• Oversee capital projects from concept through commissioning, qualification and validation.
• Develop preventative maintenance strategies and drive maintenance excellence initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver reliable GMP packaging operations.
