Job summary

Moderna Harwell is hiring an automation engineer to lead hands-on support for packaging and drug substance manufacturing. You will troubleshoot DeltaV and PLC systems, work with labelling, serialization, and packaging equipment, and drive lifecycle improvements in a GMP environment.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years of automation engineering experience in manufacturing
• Experience troubleshooting automated packaging or manufacturing equipment
• Experience in GMP/GxP-regulated environments
• Ability to manage changes through engineering and quality processes

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on automation engineering support across packaging and DS manufacturing
• Troubleshoot PLCs, DeltaV, HMIs, sensors, networks, and related equipment
• Support introduction and improvement of labelling and packaging equipment
• Manage equipment changes, format changes, and line readiness
• Lead start-up activities including FAT/SAT, commissioning, validation, and tech transfer
• Ensure GMP compliance and robust documentation across projects
