Murphy is seeking a Senior Construction Manager for Overhead Lines (OHL) to lead the safe and efficient delivery of major electricity transmission work across UK sites. The role requires strong leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams, expert OHL knowledge and proven ability to drive construction programmes from mobilisation through handover.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of OHL construction including access, foundations, tower erection, conductor stringing, fittings, testing and energisation.
• Ability to plan and lead construction programmes, coordinate OHL routes and work fronts, and identify practical delivery efficiencies.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary site teams and supply chain partners through construction and handover within programme, cost and quality controls.
• Good working knowledge of NEC4 contracts, including early warnings, change management and construction records.

Responsabilités

• Lead the safe, efficient and high‑quality construction delivery of complex OHL projects from mobilisation through installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Set and maintain high standards of safety, quality, environmental performance and construction productivity across the project.
• Develop, review and manage construction programmes, methodologies and sequencing to identify efficiencies and constraints.
• Identify and manage construction risks including land access, outages, consents, resources and supply chain performance.
• Lead and develop the site delivery team and subcontractor relationships.
• Provide clear and timely construction progress updates to clients, designers and stakeholders.
