OCU is seeking an experienced OHL Supervisor to lead on-site overhead line construction activities in Shinfield. You will mentor delivery teams, ensure work complies with safety procedures, and drive quality and programme delivery across major power infrastructure projects.

You will coordinate outages, liaise with authorised persons, review risk assessments, and promote best practice on site. A full UK driving licence and hands-on leadership in utilities are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising overhead line construction or electrical distribution.
• Knowledge of safe systems of work and site safety requirements.
• Ability to lead field teams and coordinate multiple activities.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day overhead line construction activities on site.
• Brief teams on planned works, ensuring all activities are carried out safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
• Monitor site performance to ensure work is completed to the required quality, programme, and safety standards.
• Ensure teams have the correct PPE, plant, tools, and equipment to undertake their work safely.
• Liaise with Senior Authorised Persons and operational stakeholders to coordinate outages, earthing, and network requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.
• Review project documentation, risk assessments, and completed records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support, coach, and mentor operational teams, promoting best practice and high standards of workmanship.
• Identify site issues and implement solutions to minimise disruption and maintain project progress.
• Communicate project changes, risks, and commercial events to project teams and management as required.
