Zusammenfassung

Join AECOM’s Transmission & Distribution team as a Senior OHL Engineer, delivering overhead line design on high-voltage projects up to 400kV across the UK. You will support complex multi-disciplinary schemes, lead PLS-CADD modelling, and contribute to the Great Grid Upgrade and other National Grid initiatives.

We seek a Chartered Engineer with UK transmission experience, excellent communication, and a track record of delivering robust designs and proposals.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline, electrical/power engineering.
• CEng Chartered Engineer with a recognized electrical engineering institution (IET etc.).
• Experience delivering UK transmission projects preferred (National Grid, SSE, SPT).
• Overhead line engineering experience up to 400 kV.

Aufgaben

• Provide technical support in overhead line design on complex multi-discipline projects.
• Engage in large programmes like National Grid Great Grid Partnership projects.
• Support proposal writing and outline project timelines, resources, budgets, and goals.
• Provide input throughout project delivery, planning, and public consultation events.
• Perform design activities: PLS-CADD modelling, line routing, structural analysis, sag-tension, and component selection.
• Conduct feasibility studies and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Originate and check engineering deliverables: designs, reports, drawings.
