Job summary

Proactive Appointments is seeking an experienced Oracle Developer in London. You will specialise in Oracle PL/SQL and work across SQL while contributing to application development, BAU support, and technical improvements.

You will support distributed Oracle 19c databases, tackle complex issues, and collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to drive performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Oracle database development using PL/SQL.
• Strong SQL skills and experience using tools such as SQL Developer, Toad or SQL*Plus.
• Experience writing complex and performance-focused SQL queries.
• Experience debugging and performance-tuning PL/SQL.
• Experience with ETL processes and data extraction/transformation/loading.
• Working knowledge of database partitioning and materialised views.
• Experience working within a production/support environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• A good understanding of database best practices.
• Experience working within structured procedures and project lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL code and Oracle APEX components.
• Support and enhance distributed Oracle 19c databases and related applications.
• Resolve complex database and application issues in production and BAU contexts.
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver improvements.
