Job summary

Companies House is seeking a skilled Database Developer to support data platforms and production databases. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver Oracle PL/SQL solutions, optimise queries and support automated deployments in a hybrid UK-based role, with potential remote arrangements.

You will collaborate across Agile teams, contribute to DevOps practices and help migrate on‑premises services to AWS cloud. A proactive automation mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Oracle database solutions using PL/SQL, including stored procedures, packages, functions and data modelling.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex database, application and infrastructure issues using structured analysis.
• Experience in distributed teams and remote collaboration tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines (Concourse).

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance data platforms using PL/SQL and database administration.
• Collaborate with analysts, customers, developers and support teams to deliver data solutions.
• Develop and maintain automated deployment/release pipelines using Concourse CI/CD.
• Assist in migration of on-premises services to public cloud platforms.
