Job summary

Future plc in London is seeking a Database Engineer to join the Circulation Tech team within Marketforce. You will become the Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle APEX 24.2 technical expert for applications, BAU delivery, enhancements and developments.

The role focuses on writing efficient SQL, debugging and performance tuning, ETL processing, and ensuring reliable data solutions across Oracle databases, in a hybrid arrangement with two office days per week.

Qualifications

Experience with Oracle PL/SQL in a production setting.
Strong SQL writing and data analysis using SQLPlus/Toad/SQL Developer.
Ability to write complex, efficient queries.
Debugging and performance tuning of PL/SQL.
Experience with Oracle Forms 12c (Oracle Fusion Middleware).
ETL data extraction, transformation and load.
Knowledge of partitioning and materialised views.
Experience in a support environment with problem solving.
Familiar with standard procedures and project lifecycle.
Knowledge of database best practices and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

Become the Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle APEX 24.2 technical expert for applications, BAU delivery, enhancements and developments.
Provide secondary coverage for other applications based on technology experience.
