Proactive Appointments is seeking an experienced Oracle Developer in London. You will specialise in Oracle PL/SQL and work across SQL while contributing to application development, BAU support, and technical improvements.

You will support distributed Oracle 19c databases, tackle complex issues, and collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to drive performance and reliability.

Qualifications

Proven experience in Oracle database development using PL/SQL.
Strong SQL skills and experience using tools such as SQL Developer, Toad or SQL*Plus.
Experience writing complex and performance-focused SQL queries.
Experience debugging and performance-tuning PL/SQL.
Experience with ETL processes and data extraction/transformation/loading.
Working knowledge of database partitioning and materialised views.
Experience working within a production/support environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
A good understanding of database best practices.
Experience working within structured procedures and project lifecycles.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL code and Oracle APEX components.
Support and enhance distributed Oracle 19c databases and related applications.
Resolve complex database and application issues in production and BAU contexts.

Oracle Developer

We're looking for an experienced Oracle Developer to join a collaborative technology team supporting a suite of business-critical applications and databases.This is an excellent opportunity for an Oracle specialist who enjoys working across PL/SQL & SQLwhile also having the opportunity to contribute to application development, enhancements, BAU support and technical improvements.

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Location: London - Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)

The Role

You'll become a key technical expert across Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle APEX, working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders and be responsible for supporting and developing a suite of distributed Oracle 19c databases and the applications that sit across them. You'll work on a mixture of BAU activity, enhancements and new development, while also providing technical support and helping to resolve complex database and application issues.

Key skills & Experience

We're looking for someone with strong hands-on Oracle development experience who enjoys solving problems and understanding how applications and databases work together.
