An established industry player is seeking part-time Senior Optometrists to join a dynamic team at a newly built Eye Centre. Applications are invited for the position of Bank Senior Optometrists. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team in a new purpose-built Eye Centre, supporting pre-operative assessments for cataract surgery and conducting post-operative reviews.
The Ophthalmology service at NHS Golden Jubilee is expanding and is now the largest in Scotland. The new Eye Centre is designed around an innovative patient pathway, utilizing healthcare assistants, ophthalmic technicians, registered nurses, optometrists, and Consultant Ophthalmologists. Our outpatient department is equipped with OCT, Topography, Specular Microscope, Ultrasound, and digital Slit lamps. The unit aims to deliver high-volume cataract surgery to meet increasing national demand over the next 15 years.
The centre is located on the banks of the River Clyde, offering views of the Finnieston crane and beyond, situated at the main hospital entrance.
We are seeking part-time Senior Optometrists who have experience in community and/or hospital optometry, assessing a wide range of eye conditions and demonstrating diverse clinical skills.
