This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team in a new purpose-built Eye Centre. The role involves supporting pre-operative assessments for patients referred for cataract surgery and independently conducting post-operative reviews.
Our Ophthalmology service is the largest in Scotland, located on the banks of the River Clyde with scenic views. The Eye Centre is designed around an innovative patient pathway, utilizing healthcare assistants, ophthalmic technicians, registered nurses, optometrists, and Consultant Ophthalmologists. The facility is equipped with OCT, Topography, Specular Microscope, Ultrasound, and digital Slit lamps. It aims to deliver high-volume cataract surgeries to meet increasing national demand over the next 15 years.
We are seeking part-time Senior Optometrists with experience in community and/or hospital optometry, capable of assessing a wide range of eye conditions and demonstrating diverse clinical skills.
