Job summary

WSP in Manchester seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations within the Buildings Services team. You will support the Buildings Group Director in delivering projects, managing risk and performance, and embedding a robust delivery model.

This role requires proven leadership, stakeholder engagement, and a track record of improving processes while ensuring SHEQ compliance and financial governance across major projects.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead and manage teams across functions.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience delivering process improvements.
• Clear communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Structured problem solving with data-driven approaches.
• SC vetting eligibility (UK)

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational matters for Building Services teams.
• Monitor workload and resource requirements across projects.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ and BMS.
• Provide commercial governance of major projects and frameworks.
• Lead project reviews and forecast performance.
• Support budget and financial reporting.
• Interface with GCC and regional teams to promote best practice.
