Job summary

WSP is seeking an Operations Manager for the Buildings Sector in the UK to lead day-to-day operations and embed a culture of high performance across multidisciplinary teams.

You will drive project delivery, governance and financial performance, while ensuring SHEQ and risk controls are embedded in every project. The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with senior leaders and the ability to obtain UK SC clearance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams across functions.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
• Proven capability to implement process improvements and governance in projects.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to coach, mentor and develop colleagues within a project environment.
• Experience in managing project financials, risks and commercial performance.
• Must be able to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational leadership for Building Services teams.
• Manage workload, resource utilisation and project delivery to meet technical and commercial expectations.
• Support and ensure SHEQ compliance and risk management across projects.
• Oversee commercial governance, budgets, forecasts and cash flow for major projects.
• Lead project performance reviews, cost-to-complete reviews and financial recovery actions.
• Collaborate with Project Directors and client teams to deliver commercially successful projects.
