Job summary

Conrad Energy Ltd is seeking a Senior Operations Manager focused on electrical operations across Pathfinder projects. You will lead health and safety, manage internal and external engineers, and drive efficient EHV plant operation while coordinating with National Grid ESO contracts and external partners.

You will develop operational strategies, oversee budgets, reporting on KPIs, and ensure smooth handover from construction to operation, while maintaining high safety and quality standards across

Qualifications

• Experience with grid transmission assets and SAP up to 400 kV.
• Proven track record in construction, commissioning and operation of transmission assets.
• Ability to schedule maintenance and manage complex repairs.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/45001 quality systems.
• Experience using data and CMMS to drive improvements.
• Experience managing third‑party long‑term service contracts.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties with health and safety as priority.
• Ensure H&S of staff and contractors.
• Operate plant in line with National Grid ESO contracts and related agreements.
• Manage internal/external engineering staff/contractors on EHV systems.
• Ensure EHV plant runs efficiently during demand; follow policies and procedures.
• Oversee third‑party contractors to mutual benefit.
• Review performance of long‑term service providers.
• Develop reporting on operational KPIs to drive improvements.
• Define operation & maintenance procedures and develop information systems.
• Ensure staff trainings on health and safety responsibilities.
• Assist in budgeting for spare parts and approvals.
• Bring forward remedial action plans with cost/time analysis.
• Coordinate handover of new sites from construction to operation.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
