A multi-billion dollar AUM Hedge Fund is looking to make a newly created hire for its expanding London office.
The hire will report directly to the European Head of Operations / Middle Office and will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for equities, taking ownership of operations and middle office tasks related to the firm’s expanding equities investment strategy. As many tasks are outsourced, a core focus will be on analytical tasks, oversight of external service providers, and project work. The project work will be varied, primarily focused on building infrastructure or supporting equities investment professionals. The hire will serve as a first point of contact for the European equities business, liaising with multiple Prime Brokers (PBs).
The firm values a strong progression culture. While the initial focus is on developing into an ‘Operations Manager’, other team members have advanced into roles such as desk assistant, business management, treasury, and change management. There are various future progression opportunities, including potential transfers to international offices.
Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience in hedge fund operations, a strong background in equities, excellent academic credentials, and strong technical skills.
The role offers a salary range of £80,000 to £110,000 base, with top performers earning significant bonuses.
