Job summary

MARCH in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a Senior Site Representative to supervise on-site electrical and mechanical works, coordinating with project managers, engineers, clients and subcontractors to deliver projects safely, on time and to specification.

The role requires strong leadership, health and safety focus, and ability to read drawings; offers permanent full-time position, competitive salary above market, 25 days leave, pension and training.

Qualifications

• ONC, NVQ Level 5 or equivalent qualification or related experience.
• Extensive experience in an electrical or mechanical supervisory role on MEP/infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and specs.
• Knowledge of BS standards and applicable codes.
• Strong leadership, planning and coordination skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site electrical and mechanical works, including installation, testing and commissioning.
• Monitor progress against plans, specs, programmes and milestones.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and plant to keep works on schedule.
• Manage and oversee site teams, trades and subcontractors.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to site staff.
• Ensure works meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead site reviews with clients and design teams when needed.
• Maintain records on labour, materials, progress and programme delivery.
• Prepare progress reports, blockers and EWNs.
• Develop rolling two-week lookahead programmes.
• Update red-line drawings and as-built documentation.
