Zusammenfassung

Ashtead Technology is seeking a Senior Onshore Mechanical Technician within our Mechanical Solutions division to support cutting operations. The role focuses on hands-on servicing, testing and repairing subsea cutting, dredging and cleaning equipment, with mentorship of junior engineers.

You will work closely with engineers and a cohesive workshop team, delivering tailored solutions and ensuring reliability in harsh subsea environments.

Qualifikationen

• HNC or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Previous senior level experience including coaching and mentoring teams.
• Knowledge and understanding of subsea operations in IRM and decommissioning.
• Practical experience with mechanical tools, subsea cutting, dredging, and cleaning with abrasive materials.
• Collaborative mindset to work within a strong workshop team.
• Willingness to work outside all year round.
• B1/B2 forklift tickets are beneficial, overhead crane experience also valuable.

• Servicing, testing and repairing a variety of subsea cutting, dredging, and cleaning equipment.
• Reconditioning of offshore equipment to restore performance and reliability after exposure to harsh subsea conditions.
• Creatively modifying and adapting tools to deliver tailored solutions that perfectly meet customer needs.
• Collaborating closely with engineers to help bring to life equipment that meets real operational needs.
• Providing versatile workshop support - including yard operations, forklift duties, fabrication, welding, machining, and electrical tasks, keeping things running smoothly.
• Being part of a collaborative and skilled team, working together to achieve high standards and deliver exceptional results.
