Job summary

Ashtead Technology, Inc. is seeking a proactive Yard Operative to help keep the yard and warehouse running safely and efficiently. You will handle deliveries and support movement and storage of equipment with a hands-on approach.

The role requires a team player with a positive can-do attitude who can adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines. A Forklift Licence (B1/B2) and Banksman/Slinger experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• Hands on experience in a similar yard/warehouse role.
• B1/B2 forklift licence held and up to date.
• Banksman/Slinger experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Keep yard and warehouse clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
• Load and unload vehicles using forklifts and Banksman duties.
• Maintain yard layout and outside racking for safe operations.
• Perform general yard maintenance as required.
• Report defects and ensure equipment is well maintained.

Job description

We’re looking for a proactive and hands‑on Yard Operative to help keep our yard and warehouse running safely, efficiently and smoothly. You’ll play an important role in maintaining an organised working environment, handling deliveries and supporting the movement and storage of equipment and materials.

What you'll be doing:

• Keeping the yard and warehouse areas clean, tidy, organised, and free from hazards.
  
• Load and unload vehicles using forklifts and Banksman / Slinging duties as directed.
• Maintain the yard layout and outside racking to support safe and efficient operations.
• General yard maintenance as required.
• Ensure forklifts and yard equipment are maintained in good working condition and report defects promptly.

What experience you'll bring:

• Hands on experience in a similar role
• A team player with a positive can‑do attitude
• Ability to manage changing priorities, meet deadlines and work on own incitive
• B1 and B2 Forklift Licence
• Banksman / Slinger experience (preferred but not essential)
