Job summary

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a part-time Consultant in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery based at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. The post is 7.5 Programmed Activities.

The appointee will lead on Oncoplastic Breast services, deliver timely breast cancer diagnosis and surgery, and contribute to education, research, and multidisciplinary care within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• FRCS and wide experience in Breast Surgery.
• Oncoplastic fellowship for at least 2 years.
• Evidence of ability to teach these skills.
• Track record of Oncoplastic Breast training.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of Oncoplastic Breast services and timely breast cancer diagnosis and surgery.
• Leadership in introduction of new Breast surgical trials at the trust.
• Work as part of a team that thrives on cooperative working and sub-specialisation.
• Engage in teaching, research and audit related to breast surgery.
