Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery based at King's Mill Hospital in Sutton-in-Ashfield. The post focuses on oncoplastic techniques with two years of unit experience preferred.

May require activity at Newark Hospital within the Trust. The role sits within a multi-disciplinary Breast Service covering central North Nottinghamshire, Mansfield, Ashfield and Newark districts, with flexibility across two sites and governance

Qualifications

• Entry on GMC Specialist Register; eligible for entry on Register or within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)
• Successful FRCS or equivalent
• Postgraduate thesis or higher degree
• Completed oncoplastic fellowship or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of experience in an oncoplastic unit

Responsibilities

• Support high quality patient care with a focus on breast service delivery
• Out-of-hours on-call responsibilities as part of consultant rota
• Cover colleagues' annual leave and other absences
• Teach and supervise junior medical staff and contribute to education
• Engage in audit, governance processes and CPD activities
