Job summary

Tilbury Douglas is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large, complex construction project in Southampton. You will be the number one on site, driving programme, cost control, quality and safety, while managing client relationships and coordinating with consultants and stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience delivering schemes £10m+, strong commercial awareness, and a track record of leading teams under NEC contracts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience leading projects as the 'number one', ideally on schemes £10m+
• Strong commercial and financial awareness, with the ability to manage cost and value effectively
• Experience working under NEC forms of contract
• Excellent leadership and people management skills

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, including programme, commercial performance, quality, and risk management
• Lead and develop the project team, setting clear direction and fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact throughout delivery and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction
• Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance across all site activities
• Drive programme and cost control, identifying risks and opportunities to maximise project performance and profitability
