Job summary

Wates Smartspace is seeking a Lead Resident Engineer (Electrical Bias) to spearhead on-site engineering operations for a prestigious London property on behalf of JLL. You will blend hands-on electrical expertise with client liaison, ensuring safe, compliant and reliable service delivery.

As the on-site lead, you will drive PPM and reactive work, manage subcontractors, and maintain CAFM records while upholding high standards of customer service and operational performance.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineer with hands-on maintenance and service delivery experience.
• On-site lead with strong client engagement and operations ownership.
• Ability to coordinate maintenance and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead engineering representative on site and primary contact for engineering matters.
• Deliver planned maintenance and reactive tasks across electrical/building services.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, regulations and procedures.
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor quality and performance.
• Maintain maintenance records and provide technical reports.
