Job summary

PRS is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for a flagship City of London site. You will take technical ownership of the building’s electrical infrastructure, lead on-site engineers and subcontractors, and ensure safe, compliant operations in a demanding commercial environment.

The role combines hands-on engineering with leadership, planning, and site‑wide oversight, driving performance improvements while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience supervising engineers and managing subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical compliance, fault finding, and safe systems of work.
• Clear communication skills and a professional, client‑focused approach.

Lead Electrical Engineer –London Bridge

A leading Facilities Management provider is appointing a Lead Electrical Engineer to take technical ownership of a major commercial building in the City of London. This role is central to the site’s operation and suits an experienced electrical engineer who is confident leading teams, managing risk, and maintaining high standards in a demanding commercial environment.

The Role

The Lead Electrical Engineer will hold overall responsibility for the electrical infrastructure across the building, ensuring systems are safe, compliant, and performing as required. The role combines hands‑on engineering with leadership, planning, and oversight, acting as the senior technical point of contact on site. Working closely with the facilities management team and client representatives, the Lead Electrical Engineer will set standards, resolve complex issues, and ensure all electrical works are delivered efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

The Candidate

• Proven experience in a senior or lead electrical role within the FM or commercial sector.
• Strong knowledge of electrical compliance, fault finding, and safe systems of work.

Desirable

• Test & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent).
• Experience working on large or complex commercial buildings.
• Familiarity with CAFM systems and maintenance planning.
